Well according to a guy in my high priests group, all Muslims are terrorists. Obama is wise; I bet they have bombs in their cameras.

All this posturing yet Obama stands on principle by not wearing that stupid flag pin.

What an ass.

Obama didn't do anything. Some VOLUNTEERS did, and it is disappointing. As the article points out, women with headscarves have been allowed to sit in the backdrop area in the past, and Obama took a photo with a woman with a headscarf the very next morning (far before the Politico story broke).

It is obviously not a policy to prohibit women with headscarves to be in photos with Obama (or Muslims, like you claim- even the article notes Muslims were specifically asked to be in the backdrop area).

I'm guessing you didn't read the article and took Arch's description at face value (always dangerous).

The pin is back. At least when he's around bitter working class people who cling to God and guns.

I was just going to say that. Obama apparently doesn't mind being "jingoistic" when serves his purpose.

It's nice having an issue like the flag pin where we can criticize Obama whether he wears the pin or doesn't.

My point has little to do with his wearing or not wearing the stupid pin. It has to do with his self-righteous explanation for why he doesn't, yet his staff does all it can to create the right image in the backdrop. All campaigns do this, his as well (obviously). Why doesn't he just own up to to it.

When Obama won the North Carolina primary amid questions about his ability to connect with white voters, for instance, he stood in front of a group of middle-aged white women waving small American flags . . . . .

But for Obama, the old-fashioned image-making contrasts with his promise to transcend identity politics and to embrace all elements of America.
I am Obama, I will not wear the pin because I am above all of this.

What an ass.

This is "plausible deniability". A staffer did it, when it doesn't work, but it's great policy when it does work.

Certainly, Obama is nothing but an ass.
