It's a staffer's fault.

What do you bet tomorrow we see some women in head scarfs in the crowd behind Obama.

Nothing staged here, Obama doesn't dip that low.

But hey, lay off Barack Obama. It was his staff.

Why is this a problem? Every campaign in America does this, and I would be shocked if Obama's didn't too. This isn't the same as saying "throw out the people with headdresses" which I would find offensive.

If you are going to complain about this, you may as well complain that the stages invariably have a dozen flags conveniently located nearby (but I thought it was just a coincidence!) or that the campaigns actually make the signs that people hold up at rallies (they looked so real!).

A political rally is a staged event. Are you really outraged at that revelation?

I would love to hear Cali's song were a few McCain organizers caught saying "get me some more black people back here!"

Are you going to pretend that McCain's organizers haven't said that at every single rally he has held? Look at the Republican convention this fall. Take a guess at how often the camera finds the minority person in the crowd (hint: it will be massively disproportionate to the number of minority people in the crowd).

It isn't just campaigns that do it either. Watch the Tabernacle Choir broadcast on Sunday. See how often a minority individual is highlighted (then try to find the minorities on the screen when the entire choir is shown- good luck).

It is transparent and silly, but you or YOhio crying foul about it with Obama is hypocrisy at its finest.

Cali, you can take a break from defending Obama and/or his staff. Nobody will think you're not going to vote for him if you don't post a defense.

Put down the Obamabong. No one cares about flag pins and "getting more white people", per se. We're just pointing out his hypocrisy. He portrays himself as above all this silly stuff. But he's not.

Honestly, if the silly attacks leveled against Obama on CG are an indication of what the country cares about, our democracy is in a sorry state.

I'm not complaining nor am I outraged. I'm making fun. It's funny that his staff wanted more white people for the shot. It's also funny that he always blames his staff. It gave me a good chuckle. That's all.
