Most boring thing of any pro sport
Basketball free throws. I have basically lost interest in watching the NBA and I'm getting close to losing interest in NCAA, outside of BYU, as well. There's nothing more boring than watching someone make a good move, get hacked, then spend the next two minutes getting lined up on the free throw line and watching a guy shoot baskets. Basketball was the love of my childhood but it's losing me.
I have some good soccer solutions, and here's my basketball solution. No more free throws except for in the last two minutes of a game. A shooting foul or a foul in the bonus situation is an automatic two points any other time. It would cut down the stupid fouling that puts good players in foul trouble as well. |

It's even worse with the current trend in two-shot free throws:
- Both teams congregate before the shot for a little chat - The shooter gets high fives after the first shot regardless of whether or not it was a make or a miss - The shooter stepping away from the line for a few moments to collect himself before taking the second shot. Definitely boring |
