The worst part of this, is that we could go on and on about how Obama wants to deny us the rights given in the 2nd Amendment, yet nothing can be said about his defending our rights given in the 2nd Amendment.

Disarm the citizenry and it's easier to shove socialism down our throats. Those who voted for this POS should be ashamed.

You are so right. Obama wants us all to be socialists, but he is scared! We have too many guns! He won't dare to attack us with the military until after he has disarmed the populace. Only then will he unfold his real socialist agenda!

The more I think about this, the more saddened I am because there are so many who think Obama actually cares about the 2nd Amendment.

The Founding Fathers knew that if citizens couldn't defend themselves, there would be nothing to stop a tyrant from gaining control and bringing down this great nation. They didn't know his name, but they had the foresight to warn us of Barak Obama.

Shame on us for allowing him to sucker so many fools. If it didn't have an impact on my freedom, it wouldn't be a big deal to me. Unfortunately, for those of us who were smart enough to not vote for him, the fools who did gave him the chance to assault the rights of all citizens.

Perhaps we can all get off our lofty high horses for a few moments, even though I believe there are some lofty goals enshrined within the Second Amendment.

For many, it boils down not to high-minded philosophies, but to one of two positions. Gun enthusiasts want little or no restrictions to impede their enjoyment. The reasons are diverse, from interests of self-defense, a respect for our cultural upbringing and much else.

For non-gun enthusiasts, they see guns as inherently dangerous and are happy to be rid of them. Obama and Cali probably fall into the latter camp. They want to sound high-minded, "I respect the Second Amendment, I just don't interpret it the way you do," because who wants to be labeled as somebody who doesn't respect the Constitution, that's worse than being called a Nazi.

For most, it's really that simple.

Until Obama demonstrates that he doesn't want to rid the Constitution of the 2nd Amendment, I won't trust him to not do it.

If that puts me on a high horse, than I'll ride it without having 2nd thoughts.
