When players break the rules, he issues a warning. 5 of those and you get a verbal warning. 7 of those and you get a violation. 4 violations will land you with a reprimand. 6 reprimands will be reported to Stern's boss, the player's union, who will then do nothing.

Nice post but in this instance I think Stu Jackson is Dwight. Stern does make a good Michael Scott. See how he controlled the new basketball issue. The dress code. Promoting individuals over the team. Completely Scottesque.

What a weird suspension situation today. The Horry foul was aggressive, but I think a one game suspension was pushing it. Diow and Stoudamire got hosed and Baron Davis got off easy.

Like I said, Stern is a coward. I know he isn't the guy who hands down the suspensions, but he's that guy's boss.

Horry got his because he took out a league MVP. Davis got nothing because he took out a guy who isn't an All-Star.
