Default The Chinese will be stripped of their gold medal.

For womens gymnastics. The only question is how long will it take before evidence the IOC is willing to act on surfaces. Anyone who has been watching the games know that at least two of their gymnasts are no older than 14 and probably younger. I think it is obvious (since I believe my eyes and not Chinese issued passports) that their ages have been faked.

This is just far too big a secret to be kept forever. Even in China, someone is going to spill these beans eventually, though it could be years from now.

Here is the most recent slip of the tongue:

You really think the Olympic committee will have the guts to take away the medals from the Chinese. I don't think so.

I think they do, but they will definitely wait until they are out of the country for good.

I think once the smoking gun appears they will have no choice. What is China going to do them? The IOC is a law unto itself. If what you mean is do I think they will do this with any of their feet still on Chinese soil, I emphatically agree the answer is no.

I agree.

Sincerely,

But didn't Jones admit she cheated before her medals were taken away? If so, Jones in an anomaly in the sports world - or the non sports world for the matter. I doubt the Chinese would admit wrongdoing on their part.

I have much more respect for Marion Jones than I do for Bonds or Clemens.

Those guys deny the obvious.

At least Jones ovaried up and admitted she was a cheater. I think she gets out of jail in a few weeks.

Agreed. What integrity she had squandered by cheating was regained by admitting she had done it and accepting the consequences.

She only owned up when she was staring at jail. She published a book in which she denied any wrongdoing. Her friends and family backed her for years. I'll be they feel pretty betrayed.

BTW, my wife raced against Jones in a high school track meet. I'm going to see about getting that victory stripped from Jones as well.

PS - love the use of "ovaried up." You should TM that.

She is still a cheater, yes.

But of the 3, she is the most honest cheater.

Bonds and Clemens continue to lie.

it is better to admit it under penalty of punishment than to not admit it at all (assuming that the admission is truthful)
