About what i expected!!!!!!!!
The Cougars Holy defense was walked all over yesterday. It would be wise to spend the next spring training soley on tackling fundamentals. The Cougars are king of dissapointment.

The front 7 was pretty porous last night.
It would have been less embarassing to just automatically make it 2nd and 3 each series, because that is basically how it played out all night. I've got to hand it that Lynch guy. Despite the fact that he sounded like an idiot on that one sideline shot ("We got it - 365 days a week..."), he was solid. I can't recall even a single solo tackle all night. Did anyone catch that one stat in the 3rd quarter - Cal 174 total passing yards, 173 Yards after catch. Am I not understanding that one correctly? Is that stating that at that point, every single one of their pass plays was basically a lateral, with all the positive yardage comng after the completion? |

the passes weren't laterals..
they were passes behind the line of scrimmage, like screens to receivers and running backs. That speaks volumes about the inability of BYU's defensive team in regard to tackling.
What little of the game I saw showed that the basic fundamentals of tackling need to be taught; however, these players should already know it. It's taught in little league. Tough losses for the conference last night.
