Greenspan is Culpable
Hard to understand why Greenspan is so revered. Enabled the dot.com bust, drove technology from U.S. shores (who would like to have a few more U.S. Googles and Oracles about now?), lowered rates and made mortgage money easily available for liars/profiteers. Sleep well Al.

Absolutely Greenspan is culpable, as the head cheerleader pushing deregulation on Wall Street.
Yet many (even here) will fail to recognize that a lack of regulatory oversight is the primary cause of this mess. "It was greed". Bullshit. The entire economy is predicated on greed. Sure, the money grubbers would (and do predictably) complain about regulation. There's a reason it exists. |

There's enough blame to go around to everyone involved here - from Greenspan to Wall Street to the dumbasses in DC in both parties.
I say shoot 'em all.
