Default "Bag of Hammers"

Thao with the Get Down Stay Down-Beat

I know this song has been out for a little bit, but it talks about ice cream, so I thought it would be a good tune for the 4th. What are some other great tunes for the 4th or just summer in general?

Very cool video (and song). Thanks for posting. What's the scoop on this band?

I will counter your cool video/song with what is undeniably the worst all time "summer song." Also, just an all-around awful song, regardless of the season.

One of the reasons I hate it so much is because it reminds me of the summer YOhio, UteStar, and I lived together and sold pest control door-to-door. It started out fun, but by August we were all fighting.

"Dumber than a bag of hammers" is one of my favorite put downs, second only, perhaps, to "dumber than a bag of dried leaves."

I might have gotten both of those from Sir Charles but I don't recall.

Here are two of my favorite songs so far this summer (at least I first ran across them this summer):

I've just heard them on KEXP a few times and dig them.

Another 4th classic via the Boston Pops...

Love it.

Just blasted it at home - it's one of my wife's favorites.

Well, I'm off to light fireworks with the kids! I hope I come back with all my fingers.

It's from O Brother, Where Art Thou? Everett is making fun of Delmar and Pete for getting baptized in the river:

Baptism! You two're just dumber'n a bag of hammers.
Sounds like something SU would say.
