Nope, not even close to being true. OTOH, if oyu have no interest in cyclinbg, that's fine, but a fair few of us here do. Consider this an invitation to browse the cycling posts and to ask any questions you might have.

Well let's see, in the fall there's football. In the winter there's basketball, and as far as I can tell, those two sports really rule the US. Don't get me wrong, there's other little things, but hello, TDF, couple weeks and it's all over. WC, couple weeks and it's all over. Baseball? Nothing to watch until the end of August.

It's actually three weeks long.

Bike racing season goes from about Fenruary until OCotber or November. And that's just the roadies

Perhaps no fiery crashes, but there are plenty of crashes. The difference being these guys don't have all that reinforced steel to protect them. Just a rider, a little lycra/spandex and the pavement.
