No I've never been to a Prince concert but I would LOVE to go see him in concert. All 5'2 of him, lol. Seriously, I heard last time he was in town at the E Center that he put on an amazing show. If there is a next time, I'll definetly go.

I need to get back into the concert going scene. I used to go see about anybody and everybody, even if it wasn't someone I was a fan, just because I love music so much.

I am a young buck. However, I don't think most of age with perforated ears when the Beatles first landed at JFK and appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show could explain the phenomenon either.

Those are 3 prime examples of what I don't like about AC/DC. Thunderstruck is great for about 15 seconds then the song starts. TNT and Highway to hell may as well be the same song, I can't tell 'em apart.

Did anyone else watch his performance during the rock n roll hall of fame induction? All of the inductees and guests played together at the end and played George Harrison's "while my guitar gently weeps". Prince launches into this solo that was absolutely amazing. I had no idea he could play guitar like that.

3) Rush Things I know about Rush: Probably the most musically talented band top to bottom in Rock History. Probably the most meaningful lyrics in Rock History. I still can't hardly get through a whole song without changing the station. Maybe it's the muppet voice, or maybe I'm just Rush retarded. But Rush just doesn't do it for me like they do it for everyone else. It's a band I've always wanted to "get", but so far I haven't.

4) Gwen Stefani When exactly did Gwen decide that she was going to turn into a 17 year old African American girl? How do you go from ska to hip hop or whatever she's calling this new style? And the crazy thing is that it's working. There was a group of young women in my ward who was shocked to learn that Gwen was my age and nowhere near theirs.

5) Elvis Don't get me wrong here, I understand that he was the first white guy to do what he did. But man did he crank out some really bad music to go along with anything good that he did. I'd estimate that for every 1 good Elvis tune there are 3.5 awful ones.

You will probably burn in hell for defaming the great rock band KISS. As the great Jimmy Buffet said "Don't try and describe a KISS concert if you've never seen them". They are unequivocally the best rock and roll band of all time. U2 - please they suck.. Pink Floyd - I guess if you are high they are ok.. Led Zepplin - I liked their laser shows at the planetarium. I am too young to remember KISS in its hey day but for music man they just plain rock.

Rock n Roll all night (party every day)

Geez even when they went the cheesy hair band ways of the 80s they still did it better than everyone else.

I will now drive away in my 79 camarro with my tank top and dice hanging from mirror.

Additionally, isn't "New York Groove" the coolest song to listen to when you are visiting the Big Apple? (Yes I know that was by Ace Freely when the band took a hiatus for a year but I still count it as KISS)

"Cause I'm back.. Back in the New York Groove"

Man, I find her repulsive. That whole look doesn't do anything for me. Even if I didn't care about chastity standards, you couldn't pay me to tap that. Well, you could pay me because it'd be cool to be a "gigolo to the stars" for a night. That chick from Black Eyed Peas is UGH! too.

I haven't seen him live, but I did know he sure can play. I think he doesn't get the accolades among everyday rock fans (IMO) because a) he's black and b) his music is mostly pop style, but, yes, he can play. It'd be pretty cool to see him do some covers of Hendrix or others and see what he can do with them.

Also, I doubt it but has anyone ever seen Big Head Todd and the Monsters in concert? Their lead guitar was amazing.

AC/DC's Back in Black and For those About to Rock, We Salute You are two of my all time favs. Hells Bells, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Highway to Hell, Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution, TNT, Shook Me All Night Long are all classics that are just right by me.

The one that I don't get is U2. They were an average eighties group that just won't go away.

Average? They put out 2 of the best albums of all time imo (Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby).

Here's a little lyrical comparison:

AC/DC's TNT:
(Oi! Oi! Oi!)
(Oi! Oi! Oi!)
(Oi! Oi! Oi!)
(Oi! Oi! Oi!)
(Oi! Oi! Oi!)

See me ride out of the sunset,
On your colour TV screen
Out for all that I can get,
If you know what I mean
Women to the left of me,
And women to the right
Ain't got no gun, ain't got no knife,
Don't you start no fight...

REFRAIN
'Cause I'm T.N.T., I'm dynamite!
(T.N.T.) And I'll win the fight!
(T.N.T.) I'm a power load!
(T.N.T.) Watch me explooooode!

I'm dirty, mean, and might unclean,
I'm a wanted man
Public enemy number one,
Understand?
So, lock up your daughter, lock up your wife,
Lock up your backdoor, and run for your life
The man is back in town,
So, don't you mess me 'round...

REFRAIN
'Cause I'm T.N.T., I'm dynamite!
(T.N.T.) And I'll win the fight!
(T.N.T.) I'm a power load!
(T.N.T.) Watch me explooode!

SOLO

REFRAIN
T.N.T. (Oi! Oi! Oi!)
T.N.T. (Oi! Oi! Oi!)
T.N.T. (Oi! Oi! Oi!)
T.N.T. (Oi! Oi! Oi!)
T.N.T., I'm dynamite! (Oi! Oi! Oi!)
(T.N.T.) And I'll win the fight! (Oi! Oi! Oi!)
(T.N.T.) I'm a power load! (Oi! Oi! Oi!)
(T.N.T.) Watch me exploooooode

Now U2's One:Is it getting better?
Or do you feel the same?
Will it make it easier on you now?
You got someone to blame
You say

One love
One life
When it's one need
In the night
One love
We get to share it
Leaves you baby if you
Don't care for it

Did I disappoint you?
Or leave a bad taste in your mouth?
You act like you never had love
And you want me to go without
Well it's

Too late
Tonight
To drag the past out into the light
We're one, but we're not the same
We get to
Carry each other
Carry each other
One

Have you come here for forgiveness?
Have you come to raise the dead?
Have you come here to play Jesus?
To the lepers in your head

Did I ask too much?
More than a lot.
You gave me nothing,
Now it's all I got
We're one
But we're not the same
Well we
Hurt each other
Then we do it again
You say
Love is a temple
Love a higher law
Love is a temple
Love the higher law
You ask me to enter
But then you make me crawl
And I can't be holding on
To what you got
When all you got is hurt

One love
One blood
One life
You got to do what you should
One life
With each other
Sisters
Brothers
One life
But we're not the same
We get to
Carry each other
Carry each other

One

One

Hey Steel, judging from the lyrics, did Bono try and marry a Mormon girl yet he wasn't allowed into the temple? Whoa, deep.....
