"realistic vampire story"? Huh?

I've got to see this.

The author gives legitmate scientific reasoning for the existence of vampires and why they cannot survive in day light, can only be shot in the heart etc.

They showed the first 5 or so minutes of the The Dark Knight, but it was only in IMAX showings of I Am Legend.

Here's a youtube (cell phone) version:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=BupYNY_k4pk

It is cut short (per the talk backs on the bottom) and is in horrid quality.

I thought it was dumb.

Why would you make New York look so extremely well done and then not have enough money to make the "villans" look somewhat realistic.

I liked it, but I didn't love it. I thought Will Smith did a very nice job, but the ending seemed forced and a bit silly. I did like the depictions of New York quite a bit...as others have said, I didn't like the depictions of the 'monsters' as much. Overall, it was worth the viewing, but I doubt that I will watch it again.

LOL, I noticed that post on CB too. Oops. I'd put the age level more at about 16 though.

Saw this yesterday. Pretty good popcorn movie. Some pretty intense moments. Cool story. I thought the ending was alright. But the movie was moving along nicely and it seemed like they could have done more with it. I think it would be cool to see a sequel. This is actually a story you could do a cool sequel with. Explore the world of the darkseekers more and show how the survivor group takes back society and wipes out the darkseekers.

I read somewhere the director put in some silence in scenes because he had watched The Pianist with the sound down and he thought it added to some scenes. ?? Has he never seen any Hitchcock? Hollywood seems really dumb sometimes.
