that's what makes Lost amazing. A mystery show that has maintained a high level of interest for a lon time.
It only was in production for two seasons and the mysery of Laura Palmer's killer was resolved right at the beginning of Season 1.

Twin Peaks wasnt intended to go more than 1 season. Lynch signed on for an extra season because he was told he could do it his way. ABC made him reveal the identity of the killer, which Lynch and Frost did not want to do. So he ended it.

Lost is a ripoff of Twin Peaks whose ratings have sagged. Even JJ Lindelof has admitted the heavy influence on Twin Peaks on Lost.

Lost is simply an offshoot of something that was already done 2 decades ago. it is a copy of an original.

what mikewaters doesnt tell you is that viewership and ratings have sagged a bunch since its Season 1 and 2 heyday.

It is interesting if you can believe that the island is populated by monsters, a gasseous essence, that only some people get off the island, etc...

In a season or two, we will see the Lost folks open up a hotel on the island and play the Harlem Globetrotter Robots in a game of basketball.

That might actually spark a bit of interest for that show inside me, especially if it was animated.

Slow down. You need to focus on Laff-a-Lympics first.

I am capable of multi-tasking. In fact, at this very moment, I'm posting/reading this forum, eating a bowl of Frosted Flakes, checking e-mail and listening for the buzzer on the dryer so I can tell my 13 year old to fold the dry clothes and switch the laundry from the washer to the dryer.

I think I can take both Laff-a-Lympics and a cartoon Lost.

It's a gift. One that I take seriously.

Actually, it's a curse. I try not to do that much, but it just happens whether or not I want it to happen.

Dang, I just spilled milk on the keyboard.

Lost is still interesting, especially this season. It is much better than Heroes. You should rent the first season, Archaea.
