Dukes of Hazzard?

That's just disturbing.

When I was about 5 or so, two things held my fancy: Dukes of Hazzard and Star Wars. I was Luke Duke and Han Solo, probably because I had brown hair and my friend had blonde hair.

What as your favorite TV show at 5?

Btw, this isn't "what are the most important TV shows to you now?" It is "what TV shows were important to you AT THE TIME." That's why Dukes of Hazzard is on my list. Chips is there too, but less influential.

I had a roomate at the BYU that insisted on watching Dukes of Hazzard. I have never forgiven him.

Batman was my favorite show as a kid. Biff! Wham! Pow!

mbn is channelling his inner Barack Obama and looking down with condescension on those in touch with their inner redneck.

Was he a dude that loved country-dancing and was from Montana? You're much older than me so I don't think it is possible it is the same person.

Last edited by MikeWaters; 05-21-2008 at 04:09 AM. Reason: meant Montana

Are you trying to tell us that you didn't like to see Daisy each week?

True.

And I am certainly not any kind of pop culture guru like DDD. But it is my favorite.

I think x-files (at its height) and lost have captured more of my imagination.

However, I recognize that Sopranos is amazing, and critically, probably the better show.

if you are at all familiar with David Lynch's style of filmmaking, you will know that he uses rich but bizarre imagery to tell his stories....things that make little sense, random phrases or words, and out of place incidents.

It is an amazing show that rocked TV and was a cult phenomenon from the very early 90s. Well worth the view, but watch them all in order, plus the pilot and the movie.
I need to check it out. I watched Mulholland Drive last year and got obsessed with it, watching it like five times, and reading all the analysis of it on the internet, and wrote up a long analysis of my own. In my top 10 movie list.
