Hey, Huey is a very talented man. No shame in liking his stuff. Did you know that he got a perfect Math score on his SAT?*

I love pop up-video. I also love the SAT. And Huey Lewis. Is that weird?

Anyway, Huey was in Vegas when my husband and I were there a few years back. $100 a ticket or something. I begged but Mr. Gordon wouldn't take me. harumph.

At least you didn't have Sheryl Crow's cover of "Sweet Child O' Mine"....that cover is a crime against humanity.

My favorite Alphaville song from the Forever Young album is actually the first one - a Victory of Love. I also like Fallen Angel.

I enjoy Alphaville - while they were popular in the U.S. in the 80's, they're still going in Europe - they've got some pretty good stuff that's much more recent, too. They did this huge box set with dozens of songs - I think it retails for about $200 - I'd love to get my hands on that.
Salt Lake City loves Alphaville. How much, you ask? Alphaville has performed two times in North America - July 15th and July 16th, 1999 in Salt Lake City.

The show on the 15th was the better show, IMO.

I do not recognize a single song or artist on your list. I know I'm old but I'm not that old. Is all this music in the same genre?

Nah, I think taking the SAT with Huey Lewis while pop up video is playing in the background is every woman's fantasy. Hmm, maybe that explains my long dry spell...

BFM, my man, you need to move forward in tiome. I am older than you but I recognized many of them.

As to huey L. I went to a concert where he was opening act (with the news)
and was prepared ot endure him to get to the main act and ended up liking him most. He was simply fun, although sort of dorky. But it was a great concert.

They are mostly independent label. In the age of the interment and itunes, there are thousands more choices than just what is on the radio when you invest the time in looking. I would bet that some of those songs you have heard and just don't know it. Several TV shows now, for example The OC and Greys Anatomy are loaded with indie tracks.

Surely though, you know Beck?
