You asked how a person can strongly disapprove of Obama's performance before he even takes office. Thus my query- did you notice that neither the strongly approve nor strongly disapprove numbers started at zero on day one? Hint: they never do. Obama's initial numbers were fairly remarkable, particularly for the strongly disapprove category (given how divisive the political climate has been the past decade).

I don't think it is me who is struggling to understand the chart.

The whole point of the chart is where it is going, not where it started. This is charting the strongest ends of the public opinion spectrum, and as such, it is a fairly stark representation of how quickly nearly 20% of America has soured on Obama. It will be interesting to see where this graph is in six weeks and six months from now (no, I'm not making predictions).

Don't blame me- you are the one who thought the poll started at zero and moved from there.

If you look at the Gallup polls (Rasmussen doesn't go back in time far enough to be useful), Obama's numbers right now rank 9th since such polls first began (including first and second terms) for a president 50 days after inauguration. Not too shabby, especially in this climate.

I thought the poll started at zero???? What the hell are you talking about? I specifically pointing out how it was funny that a non-zero percentage strongly disapproved of Obama before he had even taken office and then made a joke about his botched inauguration oath.

May Obama (peace be unto him) have mercy on your soul.

Rasmussen approval rating holding at 56%. Approval index down to +4.

Other interesting stats:
- Just 9% of non-union workers would like to join a union
- Just 9% of folks worried about losing their jobs in the near future want to join a union
- There is also no difference in a desire for union membership between those whose firms are hiring and those who are laying people off.
- 68% of private-sector employees are investors, compared to 42% of public-sector employees

For as long as it interests me. No one's forcing you to click on my posts.
