Hedge trimmers--gas or corded?
We have a B&D trimmer, but last time the battery was put in the charger, smoke issued.
It's $50+ for battery and charger, don't think cordless is a good idea anyway. Corded sounds like a real pain, as I have hedges on three sides of the house. So I guess I have settled on gas. There is the kind that is like a normal hedge cutter, than the kind that comes on a pole, for hard-to reach places. I don't really need one on a pole right now. Any recommendations on brands? I'm thinking about getting an Echo HC-150. |

I have a hand-hedge-trimimer. It sucks. and the volume of what I have to trim is considerable.
Plus, it has been a while since i have trimmed, and we are beyond "shaping". more like "war". |

Mine is actually electric, I have a long extension cord and it doesnt really bother me. It never gets in the way and I have outlets all around the house. It is a lot better than dealing with all the maintence of a gas one.

Once again I'm confused. Is this a sex or lawn question? I have a hard time telling on this board.

I endorse this post. Electric trimmers with an extension cord work just fine.
