Keith Richards' character is understandable and completely unnecessary.

Orlando Bloom (or that cute guy from LOTR, if you're BG) is in this one as well. My wife hates him and wishes he would die. Kinda funny, actually.

First movie is the best because it is crisper and not as bloated. I can think of at least 6 aspects/scenes/characters in Pirates 3 that had no business being there and could have been removed without anyone noticing.

I disagree on the first, but whole-heartedly agree on the second. My expectations for #3 could not be lower, and I'm decided on boycotting.

This describes very nearly every female in the entire theater of each LOTR movie I went to see.

This one drags because when you try to develop a mindless ride into a plotted action film, it doesn't work unless you have crisp, tight sequencing.

My kids loved it, but I was sleepy and wish I hadn't attended.

Now, don't go extrapolating. Tolkien is an entirely different matter. Sure, Legolas didn't hurt anything, but I would have seen the films either way. I'm curious to see how The Hobbit turns out.

You want to see The Hobbit? Is Ben Affleck gonna be in it or something?

I was unaware this was to be a porn flick, exposing Ben's lesser attributes.

I am not going to see Pirates in the theater, nor do I plan on seeing Spiderman. The movies were made out of obligation because they knew people would go see whatever they put on the silver screen, so long as it kept its title.

I will not have the means of the expenditure of my money dictated to me by the entertainment industry. THAT dollar has to be earned.
