I watched tonight, just to see the kid from Utah. He was pretty weak. The only performance I enjoyed was the guy with the guitar. Everyone else pretty much sucked.

Nah, I watched it the first season and never since, so just like I did with Survivor. When there's such a ridiculous amount of buzz I get caught up enough to see what the big deal is, figure out that it's lame, and feel fine knowing I'm not missing anything.

Disclaimer: Masturbation is more fun than watching American Idol.

I have never watched an entire episode of AI. I've watched bits & pieces - mostly when my wife is watching and I decide to heckle her, or when I'm passing and hear a song being performed that I really like (which I justify by accompanying it with heckling).

I did watch parts of Star-Search a few years ago, as my Brother-in-law's mission buddy was participating. I didn't do so willingly.

Are you talking the guy who covered the Lionel Ritchie song or the guy with the dreds? The guy with the dreds has done two songs that were outstanding--"what a day for a daydream" a few weeks ago and the one this week. I doubt he wins, but I think he's the best musician with the most original voice.

Oh...and I only watch this with my wife. There's the difference non-sequitur.

I've watched a couple of episodes this season and I am behind Brooke White. She's a cute little Molly from Mesa. I like her voice and her style.
