If the PAC10 sends two teams to BCS bowls...
(and if BYU goes to the Vegas Bowl) our opponent won't be a PAC10 team because there won't be a bowl eligible team for Vegas to select from. Sorry if this has been discussed already.
This is the PAC10 bowl pecking order: Rose Bowl (BCS) gets #1 pick Holiday Bowl #2 Sun Bowl #3 Emerald Bowl #4 Vegas Bowl #5 My predicted final standings: 1. Oregon 8-1 (11-1) | remaining schedule: @AZ-w, @UCLA-w, OSU-w 2. USC 7-2 (10-2) | @ASU-w, UCLA-w 3. ASU 7-2 (10-2) | USC-l, AZ-w 4/5. OSU 5-4 (7-5) | @WSU-w, @Oregon-l 5/4. CAL 5-4 (8-4) | @UW-w, @Stanford-w 6. UCLA 4-5 (5-7*) | Oregon-l, @USC-l *not bowl eligible So, if two teams go to BCS bowls: -Oregon (BCS) -USC (BCS) -ASU (Holiday) -OSU (Sun or Emerald) -CAL (Emerald or Sun) -<no PAC10 bowl eligible team left> (Vegas) But if only one team goes to BCS bowls: -Oregon (BCS) -USC (Holiday) -ASU (Sun) -Cal (Emerald due to game being in San Fran) -OSU (Vegas) So I believe it will either be a non PAC10 team or Oregon State. If it's a non PAC10 opponent, CBSSportsline is guessing Michigan State: http://cbs.sportsline.com/collegefoo...ls/predictions Last edited by hammer; 11-11-2007 at 07:34 PM. |
