Default on liabilities, political

It occurred to me today that if I'm really going to apply to BYU, I should probably take working for Obama off my resume. Seems like that would be an automatic disqualifier.

It shouldn't be. But then, we are talking about the BYU.

Why not apply to Utah? You can work for whomever you want, drink whatever you want and wear whatever you want. And according to US News and World Report, both are considered Tier 1 with BYU at 46 and Utah at 51.

Are you being serious about applying at BYU, Barbara, or am I missing a joke?

Explain it as "Well, I wasn't really for Obama as much as I was against Romney."

It would not be our first choice, but it's cheap.

Or "....but I only worked for Obama after I quit the Huckabee campaign."

Huckabee would worsen your chances moreso than Obama.

I know! They'll be dumbfounded. I'll throw in a couple of references to the mythical national title and the injustice of prop8, and they won't know what hit them.

I just realized that didn't sound very nice.

Because we have no family in the area, and because Flash hates the desert, it would not be our first choice. But several parties and factors have worked in collusion to convince us that we should at least apply.

The Wasatch range will not feel like desert. It might suck for a lot of other reasons to you, but a "desert-feel" will probably not be one of them.

Flash defines desert solely in terms of annual rainfall, and he already looked up the stats.

Let me put it this way: Flash thinks Seattle would be perfect if it just had fewer sunny days.
