But seriously, the man deserves to be held up before the public eye, and shamed.

This Yoo guy appears to at least be honest about the entire thing, even if woefully unconscionable.

Talking in public makes you de facto honest, while keeping your silence is de facto dishonest? That doesn't make any sense.

Can't someone say, "well, he kinda got in over his head. He's not happy how things ended up, but it is what it is."

Or "He really does believe what he wrote, and doesn't apologize for it."

Or, he really doesn't care what his opinion was going to be used for. He was just happy to be asked to write it and found an argument that told them what they wanted to hear.

Daily Beast had an article today saying that the Justice Dept. was furious about the Obama admin saying no one would be punished, because that was a political statement/decision that they had no business making. In an ongoing investigation, the Justice Dept. has this job. And now that Obama weighed in, whatever the Justice Dept. does will be colored by that.

If they don't seek charges, then it is because Obama told them not to. If they do seek charges, it is because of politics.

Obama and his amateur cronies F-ed up bigtime on this.
