They are doing plenty for cancer research, my friend. I'd like you to attend some of the fund raisers up here for Fred Hutch, the Gates Foundation, and their many offshoots. But nothing gets these people's blood moving like a cause for social justice.

I think I have already shared the story of my FIL and the Pac 10 chancellors before.

Here is what we should do....creekster can swing by the PAC 10 HQ in Walnut Creek after work. He can just patch things up and smooth everything over. It is right there next to Vic Stewarts, so he knows where to do.

Please dont take away my dream of being in the PAC 10.

Nothing like a good protest the day after you lost. Good work, guys.

Not the rich people I know, they couldn't give a shit about anything. It would not surprise me if a small minority felt that way, but the majority have their own little petty lives to deal with. The Church won't win friends with this issue, but holding up the threat of how "rich" people feel is the least persuasive to me. That's such a defined term in any event. These rich people weren't donating a dime to the Church in any event.

I agree.

Political protests are most effective months after the issue has died down.

Speaking of which, a bunch of us are getting together in SLC to hand out "Yes on Prohibition" stickers. Are you in?

Did you just quote yourself?

So tell me, will all these intelligent people now frothing at the mouth to attack the LDS church be more or less intelligent than you?

Perhaps ths will redound to the church's benefit as evangelicals will no longer look upon LDS as satan's spawn and so will be willing to hold their noses while they support brother Mitt for president, 2012.

You only think you're joking. A lot of evangelicals have re-evaluated their feelings about LDS through this election cycle. I think it's one of those the enemy of my enemy is my friend kinda deals.
