Praying at church has been legal for about 6 years now.

Pastors praying for a specific candidate. Wouldn't that be considered an endorsement?
Amazing what kind of slack we cut black churches and preachers in the spirit of being politically correct.

Why can't pastors endorse a candidate?

Tax exempt status. And the Dem's favorite: separation of church and state.

Quote:
501(c) doesn't prevent a church from making political statements. Go read the tax code. Our Church has made statements about Prop 8.

I guess it also prevents Churches from asking their citizens to obey laws of the land, subjecting members from being subject to kings, rulers, magistrates, etc..after all, gotta keep 'em separated...

Do you even care about the first amendment? Probably not. You seem to want government that has unlimited power to enforce the things you want.
