Default Refs got it right

At the stadium, I was really shocked at how high the ball went, but still thought the call was a little bogus. I've now watched a bunch of replays, and he clearly threw the ball high. I don't even know if I could get it that high. So the followed the rule clearly.

Question is, should they call that? I now think so. If Locker had spiked the ball that hard, would anyone be complaining? What's the difference? Commentators keep saying that it was just a show of emotion, that he wasn't trying to show anyone up. A player can also spike the ball in excitement, and not in an effort to show anyone up, yet no one's going to defend that one.

I still wish they hadn't made the call, so we wouldn't have to hear about it. BYU wins that game without question if they don't call it.
