This is incoherent. Are you drunk?

Default I don't think the membership is getting behind the leadership

on this Prop 8 deal. Most of the people I've talked to feel the church has gotten too involved in this. They passed around a sign up sheet in EQ to call the heathens in Cali and only three out of the twenty in there signed up. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I'm going to type this as a response to your novel.

I generally don't mix drink and work. But some of the greatest literary achievements have occurred when the author was shitfaced. So this is a backhanded compliment of sorts.

In the centuries to come? I got news for you...Christ will be ruling the earth in the centuries to come. I don't think the Church needs to worry about being a pariah during the Millennium.

What gay rights has the church fought?

Okay, maybe it won't take centuries; only decades. In thirty or forty years, the Church will be in the extreme minority, the Nation will have adopted gay marriage, and many of the churches will continue to drift on this issue. We'll be a pariah; tax exempt status; social acceptance; convert baptism rates; political persecution . . . etc. All these will be threatened.

So what's your point? Sounds like things will be as one would expect immediately prior to the Second Coming.

My point is that this is why SU is correct: in many ways, Prop. 8 is indeed the Church's Gettysburg.

Riots in the streets, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria.
