Which movie should or in a few minutes should have

won best picture, Crash, Munich, the Clooney film or some other film?

It seems we didn't have many quality films this past year.

What was Crash about?

I haven't seen any of the nominated films. I wonder how they came up with that list.

The "best song" was the pimp rap song. I'm sure the sodom and gomorrah flick will win. These are the days of our lives.

I remember wanting to see it, only to have it rejected by the missus.

I saw only Munich, and enjoyed it, though I can understand how some people would consider it flawed in terms of storyline/editing.

the storyline goes like this, and plays on the stereotypes we all have concerning the things we do not know, or the races we are not comfortable with.....

so you have the white rich couple who are afraid of blacks....

the mexican who looks like a gangster but is improving his family....

the persian family who has hate crimes committed against it because people think they are terrorists....

the white cop who needs the help of a black women for her fathers sake and grows tired of the politics involved in her job....

the same white cop who assaults a black lady while his partner stands idly by....

the black lady who is assaulted that grew up rich and married a black dude that is hiding the fact he is black through a tv series he produces....

the chinese guy who is selling fellow orientals as slaves....

all these storylines are intertwined and brought together by a car crash....

there are subplots within these stories, i thought it was a very powerful and emotional movie.....very powerful....

1. Negative potrayals of whites and

2. Positive portrayals of minorities. Except for the "chinese guy who is selling fellow orientals as slaves".


No wonder it was such a hit among Oscar voters.
