Rocky, I am not indicating you need to take my attitude on things when I say the following. I hate when people tell other people they should act like they do. That being said. I honestly thought the Kessman thing was going to be a problem. Kessman was all over the TBS board posting Kessman posts in the third person. Remember when he would come on and say how his kid was mistreated. The board would go off on a we support you brother Kessman frenzy. When Kessman would come on and refer an article about his kids playing, again a frenzy about what a superstar the kid was going to be. Did I ever say anything. Nope just in private to a few people saying this kid and the father son relationship could eventually be a huge problem. OK, I didn't forsee what happened coming. I thought it would be one of those things where the father and kid were unhappy about playing time. However, I saw no need or what good it would do to express those feelings on the board. I can see where the dissapointment came from the dad. He had been embraced and loved over on TBS. He thought he was coming somewhere where his kid was thought of as an awesome get. Then the things happened that did and he reacted poorly. He sure found out how the board can turn on someone, didn't he. |

The difference between me and you is that I can criticize the player, and somehow still be friends with the parent.

This would be true if you weren't so predictable and easy to skunk out.

I love how some parents try to keep their dream alive by living vicariously through their children. Whether it be football or american idol, it is freaking hilarious. What is even better is when someone with balls has a little "come to Jesus" with the parent whether that be Simon Cowell or Rocky.
Parents like Kessman. Martinez, Brown, or Whalen come on these boards to have people give them mad props and tell them how awesome their kid is. Now we all know some are better or worse than others. Mrs. Brown in my opinion was just being a proud mom. Kessman on the other hand was an ass and refused to believe his kid was a punk. It makes me wonder how true that story was of his kid getting in trouble with "skin heads" at a fast food joint. My take was that Kessman has always had a feeling of entitlement and refused to listen when reality stared him in the face. |
