There are not a lot of pitchers that you really get excited about to watch pitch but he is definitely one of them. He really is fun to watch even though he plays for the Giants.

Congrats to Lincecum.

Despite the fact that he can now use this to get a huge salary, it's good to see one of the lower pay scale guys get this kind of recognition.

I think you meant "especially BECAUSE he plays for the Giants."

I haven't seen this guy pitch yet. What's his fastball mph? What are his other pitches?
I saw him beat the cubs... He definitely is the best pitcher in baseball for 2008

I did get to see him pitch. He was impressive. Whoever it was here who said that he has a good off speed pitch was right on the money.

It depends on when he is arbitration eligible. MLB has a very strict salary structure for young players. It isn't a surprise that he is only making 400K

I'm not surprised either. This is only his second season in the majors; he's still under the contract he signed when he was only considered a prospect. But it is interesting to note the salaries of the other pitchers in contention for the award...

Webb: $5MM
Santana: $16MM
Sabathia: $11MM
