Barbara is in the process of repenting about what she said about St. Lavell. Hopefully we can all put it behind as she demonstrates her contrition by donning Cougar blue at the BYU-Tulsa game.

I missed her comment about Lavell. What'd she say?

Considering the fact that I had taken several cheap shots at Seattle's age the other day, I thought perhaps he had asked for help in making the big mean girl go away.

Gunshy? gaffe?? harumph.

I told you. I'm wearing my Sooner gear to the game. After all, it's a game day for us...we play Utah State.

It's true that older people (and I think age 30 plenty old for this to apply) have lower tolerance for loud music. It's a physiological but probably also psychological thing. I remember enjoying the SI article about how during Magic's comeback he found the Lakers' locker room music intolerably loud.

Look, I have been to a lot of concerts (many after 30) and the Police were LOUD, I'm telling you, LOUD!

It wasn't just the volume, it was the pain that made me realize they were very, very loud.
