Sounds like a facsinating story but the article is very poorly written. Did he steal money earmarked for the cost of lighting a statue? Did he charge $7,000 and should have done it for free? Also, what he is saying about HItler, Napoleon, Martha Stewart, etc. makes no sense out of context. I don't get what's going on. It's probably an interesting story in the right hands, however.

The part that is not clear to me: where did all his money come from. The arts center is named after him. He appears to be independently wealthy. But not clear from where. |
