Very nice. Heh.
"Briefly misspeaking about Sunni and Shiite?" It wasn't one press conference. If it was, sure- give the guy a pass. It was over 7 different times, including at least once AFTER the famous press conference. He had been repeating the same claim over the course of a two month period, and he still would be but for Lieberman telling him it wasn't true in front of the press.

Either he actually doesn't know the difference, or he is senile. Either way doesn't look enticing to me.

So maybe Obama's proposed capital gains tax hike isn't really a hike, it's just that he's incapable of quoting the number he actually means to say?

does Obama really think there are 57 states?

I bet what happened is that his advisors have been drilling into him "57 contests, 57 contests" and he accidentally incorporated that into a neuron.

Like Washington DC, Puerto Rico, Guam (4 more?)

It shouldn't matter to you. Whether it is at its current rate or 20-25%, I would think you would view the rate as identical.

I think it was that he has gone through 47 contests and he said 57. Tex wants to equate that clear slip of the tongue to a statement repeated by McCain over 7 times over the course of 2 months or to McCain's statement on 100 years in Iraq (which he clearly DID mean and has stood behind).

Just admit it Cali, you're a flaming socialist, and you harbor resentment toward successful businessmen and businesswomen and you favor getting revenge against them through a person such as Obama. This is class warfare for you, and you're no different than arch conservatives in your strident politics.

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.
