Father of deceased soldier Matthew Snyder sues Westboro for protesting near his son's funeral.

Wins in district court, wins multimillion judgment. Loses on appeal in 4th Circuit on First Amendment grounds. Recently was ordered to pay $16k in court costs for Westboro. Hue and cry for many in this country.

It's amazing to see how many people are willing to trample over the Constitution over this.

To me, it's an illustration of how fragile our liberties are. Moments like these make me consider the possibility that the United States may no longer exist by the time I die. Because its citizens have traded their liberties for garbage. And I'm not talking about the left wing. It's left wing AND right wing.
