Most overated concert ever? U2 by a mile. I saw them at Rice Chex stadium and it was sub par.

I hate Boy Bands, but I love contrived pop punk like Blink 182.

The first song quoted in this thread is a song by N'Sync, the second a jam by the Backstreet Boys, I suggest you download them on limewire and enjoy the harmony.

And fyi, The Beatles do not suck.

I'm 26 and cant stand the boy band/pop type music and have no idea where those lyrics came from. I mainly just listen to my cd's/mp3's and when I do listen to the radio, it's always rock/metal/alternative (X96, KBER, The Blaze). My fav's are The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath/Ozzy, Metallica, NOFX, Suicidal Tendencies, RHCP, and The Pixies.

I would disagree but allow that you could make such an argument about U2. As to the beatles, with all respect, you're wrong. It is hard to over rate them. Very hard.

I think U2 was as good as the hype but they peaked and are now overrated.

Joshua Tree was beyond huge in 86 and if you look at the style, the subject matter, and other factors you might make the argument that U2 was at the forefront of the "Grunge" movement.

Unfortunately, these days I feel that they are just a backup band to Bono's ego and political agenda. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with him on his pet topics but I just don't think he's making good music anymore.

There is one group of "boys" of which I am a huge fan. These "boys" were also though of as somewhat of a gimmick, and, at times were WAY ahead of the day in music, but they've stuck around for 20+ years and have put out some solid music the whole time.

These boys go by the name of Adrock, MCA and Mike D... and if that isn't enough, take a sip of Brass Monkey, grab the boom box, put it on your shoulder and get ready to get "ill" cause the Beastie Boys are comin' atcha.
