France trip and Cummard
I'm encouraged by Murdock's play. I think Burgess will step into role as a starter and do OK. I believe everyone will basically continue to progress and this team should be not a huge drop from last year.
What I'm a little discouraged about is Cummard's failure to emerge as offensive leader. He's a star, and he always will be, even without scoring 15 a game. But I had hoped he would take it upon himself to get more aggressive offensively. |

With Tavernari and Plaisted each scoring 20+ a game there is not a lot of shots left for Cummard, however he had 10 assists, 9 points and 9 rebounds in there last game. He also had 19 and 10 in game 1, and 17 and 11 in game 2. So I am not sure what your argument is. So he is averaging 15 points 11 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game. How much more agressive do you want him to get?

Cummard does not possess the type of skills necessary to really be aggressive offensively, because he can't create off the dribble and is not strong enough to have a post game. Accordingly, I think he will always be a complementary offensive player.

which is not a problem, IMO. He does so many other important things.
