From what I gather, the intent would be to keep things respectful and the language appropriate for women and children.
As for the religion aspect, it would be centered on Utah sports. Religion has a place in a rivalry such as this and there would be elements I imagine, but the thinking is that there are other venues for "apostates" such as that Jackass SeattleUte to air opinions. As I listened to the person explain things, I think it would cater generally to the Ute fan who is actually a Utah alum and has achieved some level of higher education. The reason that I like this idea is that many of the issues facing the athletic program are facing the university generally. The idea would be to discuss things in a civilized manner.

Do you realize that those alum that have achieved some level of higher education probably don't claim to be Utes but rather Devry Grads.

So Utes want a cougarboard? i.e. a moderated site?
Interesting. |

in a future version of vbulletin, i.e. in a few months I think, users can change the color of this website, according to their liking. So you can make this website red.

I think most sports-only forums are moderated. And this appears to be the case across both college and pro sports – wouldn't you agree?

I'm just pointing out the irony of the opposite process at CB
CB too moderated, then CG starts up as less moderated by a wide margin. UF too unmoderated, then groups want to start a more moderated site. I guess it's a reflection of the fan bases, and which philosophy the majority share. |

Once a sports board, or pretty much any board for that matter, reaches a certain size, it has to be moderated, at least to an extent. See Usenet. |
