That was a great read and terrific argument for Murphy. Thanks for posting the link.
I'm one who really wants to see Murphy get into the HoF. Hopefully, he'll get there.

Dale Murphy was my little league hero and a member of the fold, so I'm obviously biased, but...if Jim Rice deserves the HOF, so does Murph.

I found that a surprisingly persuasive argument. I'm not sure Rice or Murphy are HOF worthy, but if I had a vote I would have cast a biased vote this time for Murphy, Rice and Henderson. I don't think anyone else on the list really deserves it, although you could make somewhat of a case for Jack Morris because during the decade of the 80s he won more games than any other pitcher in baseball.

There is no case for Dale Murphy, that sad strike-out king who embarrassed himself for years before he finally hung it up. He wants to get in on a nice smile and a firm handshake, well boo-hoo, go sign some baseballs.
