Florida State and Bobby Bowden remain who they are, even if they are not the powerhouse they once were. We'd be happy to have many of their skill players.

and I will not be surprised if Florida State wins, but,....

something about this team makes me believe we win this one, because

the team is playing good team defense, with very few missed assignments, the corners are playing tight and the team is hitting and wrapping. You don't see too many bump tackles.

The blitzes are timely and varied. Defensive playcalling appears to be of quality.

Offensively, the main concern would be the lack of a speed back but BYU rarely has a speed back, since Ronny Jenkins. JJ mixes it up a bit and the distribution by Max is much better than last year.

If the Cougs lose, it will be due to too much pressure on Max, too many mistakes and just being able to handle the speed of the offense. But based on the OU game, I'm not certain that will be the case this weekend. The team defensive speed has improved and personnel are being used much better.

I'd predict 28 to 21 victory for the Cougs but hope for any victory against a quality program such as the Noles.

oh boy, Archae's crash if BYU loses will be something to behold...he's never, ever been this optimistic.

No I'll be fairly matter of fact.

I would not be surprised if BYU laid an egg because Bowden's no fool and we've only played two games, one fairly meaningless. OTOH, I cautiously expect a six to seven point victory.
