Default Mormons in bow ties

So a new guy moves into my ward. About 30. Married. Bow tie and jacket.

We visited with him, and the guy next to me asks what his taste is in music. He says normal mainstream and indy stuff.

So I say, "Do you like Modest Mouse?"

"Yes," he says.

I knew it!

Danimal is another bow tie and Modest Mouse guy. My wife's brother-in-law same thing.

I'm telling you there is not a Mormon in the USA, who wears bow ties to church, who is not a fan of Modest Mouse.

I hate Modest Mouse.

Do you include the youth? I have several in my SS class who wear bow ties, and I doubt they're MM fans.

Sooner, it's a music group with a couple of good songs. They can be critical of religious belief and resonate with some church members.

here are their two most popular songs.

Full disclosure: I like some MM, but I would never wear a bow tie.

You may know about every mormon who wears a bow tie to church. We have secret club. We didn't have enough so we let the bolo tie guys in too.

New album specifically marketed to active Mormons who wear bowties:

The Decemberists
The King is Dead
