Default BYU needs this approach to do well in Tourney

Okay, if BYU could sign McDonald's AA, then it should do that. Since that happens once every fifteen years, it should do this IMHO.

It should sign athletes first, with an emphasis on speed, agility and footwork, but not emphasize whether such athlete is a basketball player. We should take a defensive minded approach, looking to the ability to slash and to get to the rim, and de-emphasizing the big bodied can't move, can't shoot and can't handle the ball type, i.e., Miles.

This approach would serve us well in the Tourney and ultimately in conference as well.

We don't really have any fitting this bill yet, but the athletes as I see it, are, to some extent Hartsock, maybe Anderson, Abouo, Lloyd and Emery. The others lack the ability to compete in the Tourney, which is where it's at in college ball. If you're not playing for Tourney success, you're not playing. You're pretending.

I doubt we'll see that approach but that's what we need.
