Archaea is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Cognitive dissonance BYU style

We are not what we wish to be or what some of us wish us to be, nationally competitive in football and basketball. If you take these sports as diversion, with no expectation of more than regional success, you will enjoy the mild, toned-down atmosphere of BYU sports pretending to emulate larger and more successful athletic programs.

Goatnapper seems content to flounder big time and to watch the Utes succeed on a larger stage, albeit not as large as some would have you believe, but he has consistently opined that BYU will be more consistent on the local stage but every so often the Utes' upside is considerably greater than the Cougs. His wisdom appears sadly true.

Except in some demographically aberational year, BYU will be not quite yet ready for primetime.
