He's a Vegas rider, that is originally from Rexburg, but at one time in the past roomed and rode with Hincapie.

I can't even keep him in my sights long enough to remember what his face looks like. Viking rode him into the ground the other day.

One of the guy's in my dad's old club. Old guy maybe about 60, maybe a little less, total Texan with a mustache, unimpressive bike. They do a weekly club time trial. THis guy rides everyone into the ground.

Turns out he has been the state time trial champion several times. He can hammer.

Not to mention, you're also much more wealthy and intelligent than I am.

Aren't you the one who owns his own PT practice, or did you sell to Health South?

Archaea is right that my brother is very, very good, both on the bike and while running. Much better than I am. If he would apply himself a little more, he could find himself competing with some big names in the tri world.

As for me, I am an average rider whose fitness level depends largely on how often I can get my fat arse out of bad early in the morning. I don't have the time or inclincation to race at this point in my life. With 3 small kids, family time trumps spending a weekend on the road traveling to road races and crits.

I enjoy weekend rides and can hang okay with the 3's, 4's and 5's on flats and rollers. A couple of guys I ride with are 2's and they are in a whole different league on so many levels. A pure climber I am not.

RCV is older than Archaea and creekster??? I did not know that. Not that they are old or anything, but for some reason I thought he was quite a bit younger, possibly early 40's.

I'm old, old, old. I come from the days of no helmets and straps on the pedals. I look back on those days and how good it felt to have the air rushing through my hair. Now that I have no hair it's problely best that I hide this head with a helmet.

I have my THIRTY year hs reunion this weekend. This is why when Arch talks about how fast I am it makes me laugh. I keep telling this board I'm just an old guy trying to keep it upright.

You guys are killing me. LEt me set you straight. I am fat. Really fat, as in you guys would be sickened. really. I am old, almost as old as Arch, which isn't bad in and of itself unless you consider point one. I am trying to get back to good shape, but it is not going too well. I am not riding very fast or very far. Example:

Saturday I ride abotu 20 miles; tkaes me more than an hour, overall about 16 mph, rolling speed around 19-21. The highlight of my ride was seeing some homeless guy standing by the bike path urinating into a water bottle (I ahve no idea why and didn't really want to dwell on the possibilities). SO put me at the bottom of the list. I may be a once and future rider, but right now I am best suited to drive the sag wagon. really. This is not a sandbag. The only reason you guys are eventhinking about me is becasue Arch is always poppoing off, even though he knows (from my lips to his ears) that I am not fast these days. I have never claimed to be anything other than this. Really, you will search in vain to find it, and I am not sandbagging.

Yea, my legs have muscle memory. I can still roll on the flat, and no one will catch me on the down hill but, like all fat guys, the hills kill me. I'm working on it.
