Kanye West: Late Registration is a very good listen.

I don't know if I'd go that far. I like them both and I think both have been heavily influenced by U2. So the real question becomes: Why does Surfah like them?

It's too bad U2 has sucked since Achtung Baby.

That hurts.

Their 90's stuff was weak, but I think they've come back strong with two great albums. Part of what appeals to me about U2 is their openness about being a Christian rock band, and that part of them has been on strong display of late.

Since AB:

Zooropa: nothing too great but The First Time is an amazing song about the Holy Ghost, the Son, and the Father. And they did a live version of Bad on the Vertigo tour that rolls into the First Time that absolutely kicks A**.

Pop: pretty weak

Then throw in the Gangs of New York single which is tremendous.

ATYCLB: great album with Beautiful Day, Elevation (live version is sooo much better than radio version), Walk On, and some other worthy songs. Grace is a great faith building tune with great lyrics.

HTDAAB: Sometimes You Can't Make it on your Own, Miracle Drug, Love and Peace (live it kicks double A A**) with Bono playing the drums, Original of the Species, City of Blinding Lights--all great tunes. Yahweh is another faith building hymn that was very emotional and touching live.

Their last couple of albums have been good, but Zooropa and Pop should be stricken from the record.

U2 is good but is the most overated group of the past 25 years.

Bono sure likes to put his mug out there letting everyone know what a great guy he is.

You are missing out on some good stuff then.

Don't get me wrong, I love listening to LL's old stuff, some classic Dr. Dre and Snoop Doggy Dogg, and I don't know if ANYTHING beats 2Pac (rest in peace). But honestly, 50 Cent can put it down. So can Eminem. The way he flows on some of his songs is amazing. I can listen to both the rap that is a great beat to dance to and the rap that flows and tells a story. There are a few who can do both.

West Coast hip hop owns. But I give props to Jay-Z, Nas, LL, and Biggie. I like TI, but I don't care much for the rest of the stuff out of the south. I do like Kanye too. I could care less about 50 and G-Unit. But I like Eminem. But I always keep it real with Dre, Snoop, and Pac.

Currently in my truck's disc changer I got Jay-Z Black Album, TI King, and The Game Doctor's Advocate, Documentary, and Untold Story. I love The Game.
