This is the era of the micro-cause. You know, the person who dedicates hiw life to less use of plastic bags at grocery stores. Global warming. "Fair trade". Go down the list. Besides the #1 God on this planet, the love of power and money, there are people who have a sense that they should be doing more. Enter the micro-cause.
People won't always stare at their feet. The presence of the stars is too powerful not to look up in the sky eventually. |

I watched this last night. Glenn Beck talks about friendship, love, warmth, change, baptism, God. He does not mention Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon, the Holy Ghost, temples, eternal marriage, premortal existence, etc. Not to say those things that didn't play a factor. But this fits with what seems to be the general strategy of communication--that we are a good church for your family with the power to change things for the better. |

That's true; but I'd take you as an example of a person who didn't let leadership put a stop to the educational exploration. You have to appeal to their sense of personal initiative.

But I stand on the periphery mostly, being quiet most of the time, and trying not to stir up trouble, except perhaps on a friendly message board. In Church, I'm as quiet as a mouse, never uttering a peep, because it won't do any good.
