It's no great secret that I am no fan of John McCain, but I thought tonight's performance was especially inexcusable.

- With respect to the mortgage problems he said there are some "greedy Wall Street people that should be punished."
- He persisted in the stupid lie about Romney's "timetable" answer.
- He was completely unconvincing on immigration. There's no question he'd vote for his bill if it came to the floor again.
- He said he worked in the public sector (instead of the private) out of a desire for "patriotism, not for profit."
- He took a shot at Romney for people that may have lost their jobs in his companies.

In short, he appeared irritable and especially combative, certainly not like a guy who just won pole position.

Romney's still a longshot, and I don't think this debate will end up changing many minds, but what a disaster for a Republican is John McCain.
Exactly right! John McClinton is an EMBARASSMENT to the party! He wants to punish people on Wall Street?! What the hell? He sounds like a freaking Democrat! They guy has no shame, and is a complete moron.

Why no statement like "Straight talk express is firmly parked on BS Avenue?"
Bad advice.

Agree with this, although conservatives watching should've cued in on that without anyone saying anything.

Bad advice.

Here's what happened. Romney with his vast fortune bought himself into contention but he was inherently unelectable, as he ate up all oxygen required by viable conservative candidates, like those zebra mussels in the Great Lakes. As sad a sack as you guys are calling McCain he's whupin' your boy good. Whupin' 'im good. He's schooling Romney, caning him, like the Pokes caned us Utes tonight.

Once again McClinton uses his dopey line that he knows how to lead, and he can hire managers. Hey idiot, you can't be a succesful CEO or businessman, and manager if you don't know how to LEAD.

Your world is very small.

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

SU, I have to hand it to you, you are probably one of the worst political commentators on this site.
