If either of you would like to chat about the AP's analysis, I'm happy
to provide you the sources of our data and walk you through the
statistical tests we conducted. Nothing we did is a secret, but there's
no actual "study" to provide you, like there is in academia. The
professors reviewed some spreadsheets and statistical tests, talked
methodology, made suggestions on other tests to run, and overall made
sure we weren't reading things incorrectly. All of this feedback
ultimately contributed to our final conclusion, but there's no executive
summary.

Give a call, I'm happy to help.
The distinction the AP reporter is making is clear, regardless of which word you want to use, study or analysis. I simply adopted those terms as the AP used them to explain the distinction to Chino. Your hair-splitting is just a distraction.

And I'm still waiting for that follow-up Cowen post where he says he asked the AP for their data, and they refused. Don't forget to post that.

In other words, Tex says "I will now ignore everything you just said as it demonstrates I am a buffoon and will instead focus on Tyler Cowen as a distraction."

As for Cowen, he asked for the data. The AP said they would provide it. Cowen never says he received it after blasting them for failing to provide it (and note Cowen is very opposed to the stimulus and would love nothing more than to show data that the stimulus failed). He hasn't posted anything since. What can we conclude? Nothing, except the data still isn't available to the public, and we can guess it isn't available to Cowen yet either. Oh- and that Tex has no idea what he is talking about.

ad, post, picky picky.

I don't see the relationship between the decline in job loss and stimulus. I know Obamanites are wont to link the two but just showing one followed the other is not proof of the correlation or nexus.

Um, there was nothing new there. You're repeating yourself. I've already responded to that ... see above.

Heh. "We can conclude nothing ... so I will now proceed to conclude something."

You're too funny.

"Nothing, except..."

Did you lose all intelligence over the weekend?

As for "nothing new," well, we did learn you don't know that the labor market and general economic recovery can move independently of each other, that you didn't know Roubini did support my contention, that you didn't realize "analysis" and "study" are synonyms (but not "conclusion" and "analysis"), and now that you can't figure out what someone means when they state a general proposition followed by the word "except." Although if you boil it down to "Tex doesn't understand economics" and "Tex struggles with reading comprehension," then I suppose you are right- we didn't learn anything new.

So if you know the causal mechanism behind the stimulus and job creation will you be happy?

And you believe that SoB? You do realize many people rejected his theory, don't you? His theory has screwed up how our government works for a long, long time. You who endorse his views are f...ing us all.

I live in a state where the economy has NOT improved so just because Obama says the recovery has occurred doesn't make it true.

If you repeat a lie often enough, someone might believe it.
