What's up with those shots of the coaches at halftime
and on the bench? Is this real insight into the game? Most of the dialogue is stuff like, "We need to tighten up on defense." or "Keep them off the offensive boards." Is that really what coaching in the NBA is all about?
I suspect they tell them they'll be on TV so the coaches go into obvious vanilla mode. After the cameras leave Sloan turns to Milsap and says, "The next time Kobe comes into the lane, nail him right in the gonads." As for Jackson, I suspect he turns and says, "I mean it, we really need to tighten up on defense."

one of Sloan's halftime interviews they showed was pretty motivating albeit with little strategy discussed. They usually are ho hum though.

I'd rather they show us what Sloan said the rest of half time, even if it's with the censoring beeps, though it would sound more like a test by the Emergency Broadcast System.
