His son served for a very short time in our ward, he looked very much like his father. He seemed shocked that I knew who his father is/was. I guess that's a generational thing.

Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith. |

The strange thing is, being in my business I meet semi-famous people not infrequently, but I'd rather meet Arthur or Marsupial, than some of the dickweeds I meet. And famous come up, now and then. For the most part, the famous people aren't worth meeting. Unless they want to lay down a huge retainer or form a network to increase my business contacts, I don't see much value in meeting them. I'd rather have lunch with creekster, Lebowski and Farrah than the ones people stargaze about.

I don't have ten, but here's what I have:
- Charlton Heston (Call me "Chuck.") - George Tenet - LaDell Anderson (I coached his grandson in Sophomore football. We talked coaching for 45 minutes after a game one fall.) - Andre Miller - Mike Doleac - Kirk Cameron (airplane - he rides coach, and my wife told him some jokes just to see that million dollar smile). - My wife has chatted up Joe Paterno, but I wasn't there.

I once shared an elevator with Cloris Leachman and her two yippy not-dogs. I said hi and asked her what kind of dogs they were. She pretended like she didn't hear me and left the elevator without acknowledging my existence.
I've always chalked her stony silence up to the fact that I'm too real and she wasn't emotionally able to deal with it.

Someone should get Haddow over here to give his answer.
Btw, Adam you must be related to Richards families in the church? I grew up with some Richards. Now I know where Adam gets his sullen edge! |
