Default Airings of old BYU football games

For those who haven't figured out how to work their DVR's & what not, here's a list of upcoming airings of old BYU games, for those suffering from summer withdrawals (all times Mountain):

BYU @ Utah 2006: 4/23 @ 4pm on the Mtn.
BYU @ SDSU 1991: 4/26 @ 6am on BYUTV.
CSU @ BYU 2007: 4/27 @ 8pm on the Mtn.
Penn @ BYU 1992: 5/3 @ 6am on BYUTV.

They recycle the same 15 games over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...

That Penn State game wasn't even that compelling. Sweep Willis, trap Hall, domination. I bet I've come across it ten times on TV.

Do they ever show games where they lose?

The BYU stations do not.

The Mtn does - saw UCLA's drubbing of BYU in a game a year or so ago.

I'll give BYUTV credit for actually showing BYU's 52-9 drubbing of CSU in 1984 a few weeks ago. That was one game I had never seen before. Even though it wasn't a very interesting game, I watched it simply because it was "new".

It'd be nice if they'd open the vault, so to speak, and air other games. Even losing ones would be OK if they're interesting games.

Here's a handful of games I'd like to see again:

BYU 18 Texas A&M 17 (1979)
BYU 70 USU 46 (1980) C'mon, that's 116 points!
BYU 14 Georgia 17 (1982)
BYU 55 Utah 7 (1983) Steve Young 6 TD passes in something like 22 attempts.
BYU 30 AFA 25 (1984) Bosco gets national POW for 484 yards passing in blizzard
BYU 28 Boston College 14 (1985) Bosco throws for over 500 yards on national TV
BYU 41 Wazzu 46 (1989) Never got to see this as a student. Detmer throws for over 500 yards.
BYU 44 AFA 35 (1989) Infamous "crowd noise" game where the refs kept stopping play until the fans quieted down enough for Dee Dowis
BYU 50 Wazzu 36 (1990) BYU scores 36 points in the 4th quarter to cap a comback from being down 29-7 at halftime.
BYU 62 SDSU 34 (1990)
BYU 21 Notre Dame 14 (1994)
BYU 49 UNM 47 (1994) 200+ yards rushing for Jamal Willis
BYU 41 Texas A&M 37 (1996) Got the season off to a great start
BYU 37 Utah 17 (1996) BYU passes for only 70 yards and still kills the Utes
BYU 46 SJSU 43 (1998) Ronnie Jenkins runs for 250 yards
BYU 26 Utah 24 (1998) DOINK!
BYU 35 Washington 28 (1999) Feterik throws for 500
BYU 40 Virginia 46 (1999) Crappy holding call kills BYU comeback
BYU 38 Virginia 35 (2000) Engemann's one true shining moment
BYU 70 Tulane 35 (2001)
BYU 41 Wyoming 34 (2001)
BYU 35 UNLV 31 (2001)
BYU 18 USC 35 (2003) Sprited effort from the defense
BYU 50 TCU 51 (2005) Very, very painful loss
BYU 62 AFA 41 (2005)
BYU 23 Boston College 30 (2006)

That's good playlist. I'd like to add two games from (gather 'round, kids!) 1974. The first was a 37-13 demolition of Arizona on the road. It was televised and the image of a BYU WR, John Betham, outracing the AZ secondary for six remains one of the greatest surprises and memories in my sports viewing history. It was at that moment that I realized BYU might finally be good in football, for the first time ever.

The second game that year was at home against ASU. Sheide didn't have his best game, but BYU managed to scratch out a tough, come from behind win, 21-18, sending BYU to its first bowl, and signaling the beginning of an era.
