I know some would argue if Bronco drinks his own kool-aid or just sells it to a particular portion of the fan base. But this is what I think it means to Bronco.
The motto "Quest for Perfection" has much much more to do with how the team performs off the field than on it. Of course Bronco and the team want to win every game but the motto has to do with the preparation on the practice field and how the team performs in the classroom and in the community than on the field on game day. Bronco is a believer that game day will take care of itself if the others are done to perfection.

I do think that to win every game it takes more than just living right.

That is not what it originally said. Someone must have caught the error and corrected it.
